Over the past week or so, God has been working some miracles in my life. These are very small miracles -- not raising the dead, or anything like that, but still understood as "miracles". To those who don't have discernment from the Holy Spirit, first, I advise you to ask for it. Second, I honestly don't know how to explain to you how it's so "obvious" that something is a miracle, versus a mundane event that happens to be good. Think of it like tasting food/drink with your eyes closed. You can still discern the flavor. It works similarly to that. In a manner of speaking, "miracles" and "mundane events" both have a "flavor", but only the Holy Spirit can give you the ability to "taste", not your literal tongue.
1) Moth
I was walking somewhere and I saw a moth. I tried to get a picture of it. After several minutes, I finally succeeded, but something else happened, too. The moth landed on my pants-leg and sat with me a couple minutes. This kind of thing just doesn't happen to me. Generally yes, animals do like me. People's dogs like to stop and ask me for pets. Typically skittish animals like deer or rabbits are slightly less skittish around me. But... I don't really know how to explain this. Any kind of wild creature interacting with me in such a "direct" way is very unusual. Whenever it does happen, it's always a sign that God is acting in my life somehow. For example, I probably wrote here at some point about a butterfly who kept flying in front of my face, keeping me from walking a certain path in the woods. I ignored it, walked on that path, and ended up with burrs all over my clothes. I'm not certain yet what the moth is supposed to tell me. I have ideas, but don't want to say them until I'm certain.
2) Store
I was walking somewhere else and had to go to a store. It was really hot and I needed a drink. I wasn't very familiar with that location. I seemed to remember in the past, walking to a certain point, then turning left. However, to turn left this day, I had to wait for traffic to stop so I could cross the street. Having nowhere to go (traffic is often very busy there), I decided to turn right instead, and walk that way for a minute. There was the store. If there wasn't traffic, and I had taken the left, I wouldn't have found the store and likely ended up lost and exhausted.
3) Nap
I wanted to do some indoor exercise. However, I started to feel tired. Things like this are pretty common, especially in early-mid afternoon, but this was different. The tiredness was a lot worse, like when one has a fever or something. So, as much as I hate to be "lazy", I decided it was best to lie down for awhile. Then I took a 3-hour nap, lol. I woke up fine. But it worked out for the best, because a thunderstorm was moving in. I'm not sure how common this is, but where I live, it's not really safe to shower during a thunderstorm, because there's a risk of lightning going through the pipes. So if I had exercised, I would've had to have spent the rest of the day being gross and sweaty.
Again, I'm aware these are very small miracles, but God is making it clear to me they are miracles. I wanted to document them here, both so that other people can read them and hopefully gain something from them, and also so that I have them recorded somewhere for future reference.
God bless you all and guide you according to His perfect will. In Jesus' name. Amen.
