I was working on music for a new demo, but canceled it for various reasons. Still, I prayed for lyrics and I was given this. So since this portion comes from Christ directly, I want to share it. If memory serves, it's slightly paraphrased:
"I called you apart from the world. You will know what this means soon, for just as the Pharisees sat in places of honor, so do the devil's children today. My child, these things will not last long, but they must be endured. As it happened to Me, so it will happen to many of My followers."
Basically reassurance as given in John 15:18-22 and Matthew 24:9-13: the world will try to reward evil, and it will seem like evil is winning, but it's all in vain. In reality, Christ has already won, and through Him, so will we. All evil can do is flail around and try its best, like a child playing pretend, until judgment day. However, the idea of being "called from the world" may require more than one thinks when first reading the text. For example, it's easy to feel empowered when you hear there are "billions" of Christians in the world, but many of these are actually false prophets, or halfhearted lukewarm people who don't actually put Christ first in their lives. So a true believer will inevitably live a more isolated existence than they may believe at first glance. However, we need to hold firm in our trials. If we remain in Christ until death, we will go to heaven. There are many people who leave Christ. Some will come back and receive eternal life through God's love and forgiveness, but some will go their own way and never come back; these will not inherit heaven. So don't be afraid when it seems like the world is getting worse. It was all declared thousands of years ago - it's just evil trying to deceive us. Christ is still Lord, and always will be.
Hail Christ.
