BAND NAME: Sanctuarivm
GENRE: Funeral Doom Metal
STATUS: Active
LOCATION: Unknown (early), USA (now)
Formed in late 2014 or early 2015 as Sanctuarium. After discovering other bands using the name, I changed one of the Us to a V.
It was on hold from ~2019 until 2024.
Despite nothing being released for those first several years, I never officially put it on hold until that time in 2019 or whenever.
The ideas I have for this project aren't really evident in the music released so far. They're both just songs I did while I was depressed and needed to vent some emotions. God willing, I'll be able to fully realize the vision for this project one day.

1) By Space I Wept to the Triune
10:03, lyrics:
Tasting the plague, I revile [1]
My love withers from a world of blasphemy [2]
Where kindness is a death sentence [3]
"O, My child,
Soon I will end it all [4]
Soon we will cry our last tears
And share our reprieve, together, for all time" [5]
For there is life beyond the plague [6]
Beyond the crime, beyond the hate [7]
The ignorance will fall away [8]
And one day we will finally see
It will be our reality [9]
How this world was truly meant to be [10]

Black / funeral doom.
Although the song doesn't speak openly about Christian theology, it is still spiritually Christian. It's me existing within a state of depression with God by my side, and praying for help. Improvised, "written", produced, etc in less than 12 hours.
On this release, God did: Co-songwriting, Art concept
1) The Night Rebuilds the Walls
9:46, lyrics:
I've never cared about most of the world
Eons of bland nonsense breeze past me
No activities to be passionate about
All conflict is hung in arrogant red tape
A naive idiot, I gave myself to trust
And swore I'd never do it again
I did
The world seemed brighter then
New, hopeful, not so... lonely
But you've got better places to be
Better faces to see
You'll always have a sea of hearts to hold you up
You'll never know what it feels like to be alone
The world passing you by like a filthy insect
Disgusted by you, the cold ground your only friend
You'll never feel this.
That last embrace was a blanket for my soul
Sun shone through the walls I built
The window closed and all I feel is numbness
Apathy
Hatred, despair, yearning
Apathy
Nostalgia, hope, dread
Apathy
The ground crumbling beneath me
